Petitions filed on "we the people" should be open for debate to allow for people who appose the petition to express their views or at least an ability to sign to disagree with the petition providing a more accurate reflection of the views of the American people. Simply achieving 25,000 - 100,000 signatures does not represent the view of the majority of Americans.
