Six pack rings are a deadly form of marine litter. Many other countries have already made them illegal. There are many alternatives to the conventional six pack rings, for example cardboard packaging. Our country has fallen behind in regards to the safety of our natural habitat. It is time to follow suit with other countries who are beacons of environmental safety. The banning of six pack rings is only a start in an effort to repair the damage we have inflicted upon our planet, however, it is a great start.
