Make the point of raising the minimum wage. Challenge Senate and House members to live on 7.25 an hour for one month

Created by C.C. on May 02, 2014

The argument for not raising the minimum wage is that it would be a job killer. I believe citizens should challenge their representatives in the Senate and House who are against raising the minimum wage to a liveable wage, be paid 7.25 an hour for a month. Suspend their usual salaries and see if they and their families can live on roughly 58.00 a day. Currently the long shadow of the Guilded Age is looming over our country. With the rich getting richer and more breaks, while the middle class is on a downturn, The days when men like JP Morgan, John Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie influenced policy over the masses was brought to a halt by President Theodore Rosevelt, a man of privilege himself. Prepare to live what you believe. Walk in the shoes of those who struggle to support families
