Police body cameras are small portable cameras that officers are required to wear during their shift. They have been introduced because of issues with police violence, misconduct and complaints. All of these things are relevant in any state throughout the United States, but it's time to put an end to them in Washington State. Studies are showing that since the body cameras have been introduced, police violence and misconduct are drastically reducing and we are gathering more valuable evidence in police investigations. The cameras have so many benefits, I believe the only down fall would be cost. We the people ask the federal government to make police body cameras standard equipment in the state of Washington so that we can live in a secure environment with police officers we can trust.
