With the recent slayings of Law Enforcement Officers Liu and Ramos it should be mandated that at the minimum rear windows and windshields of law enforcement vehicles be made bullet proof or have bullet proof glass inserts made available. The initiative should begin in major cities and especially New York City. NYC is the epicenter of the fight against terrorism and crime. It is ludicrous that the american people have spent so much money on wars, defense, and new agencies but do not yet have bullet proof windows on police cars. The loss of two officers to a now exposed weakness is two too many.
