Make post-high school schooling federally funded

Created by M.D. on December 06, 2014

Education is a right, not a privilege. It seems that many in this country have forgotten what that actually entails. In 2013, according to the College Board, it cost an average of $30,094 in tuition and fees for private colleges, $8,893 for in-state public school, and $22,203 for out-of-state public schools. Germany, one of our "democratic" allies and the country number 4 ranking for nominal gdp in the world, has abolished tuition fees for students at its public universities. It is unjust that American families should have to sacrifice almost their entire income to send their kids to school and receive a good education, something the government says it provides, but does not follow through on. To finance public universities, the government could cut the useless money given to the military
