Make Presidential and Midterm Elections national holidays.

Created by J.S. on July 24, 2014

The right to Vote is one of the most important rights in America. While certain politicians and lawmakers have made exercising our right to vote nearly impossible (through voter I.D. laws and limiting early voting periods), for many Americans it is simply impossible because of work commitments. And while some states do offer time off for voting, the simplest way to fix this is to have a national holiday every two years.

If the White House truly cares for our right to vote, as well as the promotion of Democracy, then the best way to show this would be by having Presidential and Midterm elections serve as national holidays.
