A Presidential declaration of the following will help move the country towards fixing the problem:
-That within the United States, the Welfare State does exist for the good of the people.
-That the Welfare State caters to the needs of individuals who need assistance. And while this is good for one, multiplied by thousands or millions of people is not.
-That the Welfare State needs to be modernized, removing the glut and inefficiencies before it strangles all other programs that compete with it.
-That the Welfare State is a cornerstone of our government, that needs to be acknowledged and fixed. Not some greedy snake gobbling up all the resources it encounters.
Once this declaration has been made, will the nation stand a chance at healing and fiscal reform.
