We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Make the Presidential Election Day a Federal Holiday

Created by M.D. on November 04, 2016

In America we stand on the principle, "no taxation without representation". I believe that the time where our representation should matter the most is on the Presidential Election day. We only have this once every 4 years and it amazes me how we have been given a right to vote, but not an official day off has been allotted to cast our ballots. Furthermore, I move to a make a motion that every Presidential Election Day be a federal holiday, so that every American no matter the party you represent can exercise their right to vote without concern of missing pay for that day.
