Why should the President be making 100's of thousands of dollars. Peg his salary based on the average household income across the country. Make him more accountable for how he leads the economy. Make him feel our pain. Or if you can actually be a leader and grow this economy then you will get your reward next year with a larger salary.
A President living closer to level the rest of his employers live might give him more clarity. Understandable he should keep security, Air Force One, the White House, and other official needed trappings, however require him to pay for family travel and other non essential activities.
In this current version he has had 4 years. Time to own it, like we have while you and your family have been living the good life.
