Abduweli Ayup is a young Uyghur scholar. He was very active to promote Uyghur mother-tonge education among the Uyghur children under the Chinese ethnic-minority assimilation policy. He is also a prolific web-writer who published numerous articles and papers on current Uyghur issues. He was detained by the Chinese police in 20th August, 2013 and he was still in prison without any public trail. As a journalist, I urgently demand that Mr. President and government of United States of America to make pressure on Chinese government to release Abduweli Ayup.
