Property taxes are levied by State and Local governments and it is WRONG!
1) You don't really own your property, you rent it from government.
2) Poor people lose their homes when they can least afford to.
3) Non-property owners can vote to raise taxes on owners.
4) It's not a fair tax, it does not tax all, only a select group.
5) It's a regressive tax that hurts the economy.
6) The tax audit is too subjective & does not always reflect deflation.
7) The housing market would greatly improve if the tax was abolished, that is what started the economic downturn.
8) Construction jobs are one of the hardest hit, abolition of property taxes would create many new construction jobs, plus up furniture & home improvement sales/jobs.
