The assault weapons ban has been proposed again. It sounds to a few that this is the answer to our prayers concering criminal actions. When in fact it will only make it harder for honest gun owners to enjoy shooting sports, and owning the weapons of thier choice. Emotions are high on the subject, with the lunatics coming out of the woodwork giving the small caliber AR-15 a bad rep. I believe we as Americans have the right to vote on the matter instead of sitting in our homes "waiting it out". People with no passion concerning gun ownership, building, or shooting should have no say in what you can and can not own. Democracy does not work if the people are silenced and rules are made without discussion and civilian vote.
