Rather than waiting until the unthinkable happens before we as a nation start throwing the mentally unstable into prisons for have a psychotic break, we need to provide better care and facilities for these people so then they have a chance to be treated and cared for rather than incarcerated for something that could very well be out of their control. This would help provide jobs, revenue, and would provide better care for those and their families who truly need it.
