I am a 17 year old ATHEIST student in a school in northeast Texas. I have noticed that around this area and much of the country that the teachers teach creationism in their classes and use scripture as educational lessons. I, personally, have met with the principals of my school and stated to them the words of the Establishment Clause and Thomas Jefferson's Letter to the Danbury Baptist Association. My chemistry teacher, who happens to be a preacher, boldly stated that "if an element isn't man-made, it's a god-made element." I stated that he wasn't legally allowed to say that and his reply to my statement was "Well, it's the truth." I know that any science teacher is required by law to only teach Evolution, for it can be proved with scientific methodology. Please help me get the word out!
