As many of you are already aware, China just banned golf as it felt it was a sign of "gluttony". We often heard about issues of freedom of speech and religion, but we don't hear every day about someone banning a certain sport or beloved pastime.
As golfers and even as Americans who may not play golf, we shouldn't just demand to have that basic right for ourselves, but for our fellow man (or woman) no matter what country he or she resides.
I imagine no one is more upset about this than our "Golfer-in-chief" President Obama. As someone who truly loves and respect the game, I can't think of anyone more qualified to speak on its behalf regarding this issue.
Please help me in getting this message to our president.
