Brendan Tevlin was shot in June by Ali Muhammad Brown in New Jersey. When questioned by reporters, Brown stated it was a small-scale retribution for US actions in the Middle East. A White House statement honoring Mr. Tevlin would send a message of fear into the hearts of those who would attack even a single American in the name of extremism on our soil.
