The Republican Caucus members voted on January 2nd 2017 to eliminate the independent ethics office. Since it was a Caucus vote there is not requirement for public disclosure of how each member voted. Given the desire of the Caucus to insulate House Members (controlled by the GOP) from said oversight, and given the very low opinion of the People of the United States for the House of Representatives, it is worth knowing how each member voted.
Therefore, this petition requests that the individual votes of each member of the Republican Caucus on the issue of an Independent Ethics Committee be made Public.
