Make public school funding equal

Created by R.R. on June 17, 2013

Education is considered an equalizer, but public schools are paid for by taxes from the area where the school is located. By doing so, it is automatically guaranteed that the rich will get a better education, because they have more funding for their schools. It enforces the cycle of poverty and robs children of their chances through no fault of their own or their families'. This is likely one of the major reasons that the number-one indicator of a child's future success in life is their economic status as a child. We petition the Obama Administration to standardize public school funding, so that all schools have equal resources and all students have equal chances.
