Make a public statement acknowledging Charles Ramsey and Angel Cordero of Cleveland and thank them for getting involved

Created by D.P. on May 08, 2013

It is often the case that heroism involves simply doing what is right and coming to the aid of others. We the undersigned believe that this brand of heroism all to often goes unrewarded and unnoticed. When Charles Ramsey and Angel Cordero came to the aid of Amanda Berry and the women who were being held captive in Cleveland, Ohio they did what was right without thinking about instant fame, viral internet video, or recognition. By recognizing these two gentlemen, the President can remind us all that one need not be rich, or well known, or well connected to be a hero. In a very powerful way, he can encourage others to get involved, to look out for their neighbors and by doing so be equally heroic.
