Regardless of the opinion of the Delaware AG, who happens to be Joe Biden's Brother, Sheriffs are in fact Law Enforcement officers. For example the State Constitution of Delaware states "The sheriffs shall be conservators of the peace within the counties . . . in which they reside." yet Beau Biden states in his opinion that the Sheriff has no power to conserve the peace. It has been a long practice that the Sheriff is the highest ranking Law Enforcement official within each county. This is supported by each State's Constitution.
We the People petition the President to make a public statement in support of the office of Sheriff and the hard work they do. We also petition the President to order the AG's office of the United States to inform their state counterparts to learn the law.
