Puerto Ricans have voted to become a state, it is the right of men/women to be governed if so chose to and they have. They are already Americans with American passports , there population is over that of Wyoming, Montana and a few states that have already achieved statehood. Paying federal taxes would help the American economy and local state taxes could fund education. As Americans they may fight i all wars and police actions but not vote on any laws or presidential leaders of our nation. I from Arizona and many more acquaintances from other states and the territories of Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin islands are with our belief that Puerto Rico should be the 51st state of our nation. They are already seen by many as american as you can get with all but statehood even speaking English too.
