A puppy mill, sometimes known as a puppy farm, is a commercial dog breeding facility that is operated with an emphasis upon profits above animal welfare. These dogs are typically over bred, along with living inside of tiny confined spaces that they are never allowed to leave and become extremely ill. Many puppy mill owners view them as a cash crop.
