We offered "Cash For Clunkers" when the automakers were ailing. We offered enormous tax credits to home buyers when the banks were sinking in foreclosures. Surely our children's safety is equally as important as propping up the auto industry and the megabanks. I challenge the Obama administration to offer Americans a tax incentive that would collectively put millions of firearms behind the safety of lock and key, out of the hands of mentally unstable murderers, while keeping our second ammendment rights intact.
Mr. President, this is one thing that you CAN accomplish with absolutely no resistance from either the left or the right. This is one thing that would most certainly make a difference.
