In 31 states, a rapist can seek custody and/or visitation rights for a child born of that rape. Women who are the victims of rape have enough to deal with, they should not have to go to court to keep their attacker from being continually a part of their lives forever.
A rapist should not be rewarded for his crimes by being allowed a role in the raising of a child created by his crime. This gives rapists even more justification for their actions.
