Make the recently expired tax holiday (2% payroll reduction) permanent for the first $106,800 of income.

Created by B.S. on February 01, 2013

The fiscal cliff brokered by House and Senate extinguished the the payroll tax holiday sending Social Security payroll taxes from 4.2% to 6.2% on the first $106,800 of income. Since the poor and middle class are the engine for the U.S economy, this loss of $2,000+ a year should be kept in the pockets of the American people. This petition asks the Obama administration to recognize the fragility of the current economic recovery and permanently reinstate the payroll tax holiday for an individual's first $106,800 of income.
