I think all schools in the US should have a longer recess each day, and these are the reasons why.
A kid who gets to play more and get his/her energy out is less fidgety thus making it easier for him and the other kids to focus. I also think that if a kid gets to walk around and get some fresh air, his or her brain will relax because the weight of schoolwork is not constantly pressuring it. And when it relaxes, it flows more freely thus offering creative and insightful work.
Also, studies have shown that kids do better with more recess time, which basically proves that all of my theories were apparently right! For proof check out bit.ly/f9Zc82.
I hope this makes a compelling case for you to sign this petition. Stick with me on this: we NEED a longer recess.
