With minimal accountability, some police officers elect to change themselves from civil servants with an oath to "Protect and Serve" to militant enforcers of what they consider justice. In addition to making public recording of police explicitly legal, this petition is also to protect the data recorded by citizens from police deletion whether the data be audio, video, or both and to consider police deletion, seizure, corruption, or destruction of publicly recorded, privately owned data a violation of the Fourth Amendment.
If audio, video, or combination data is required by Law Enforcement, any method of non-destructive data copying may be utilized.
