Petition to the Obama administration requesting that July 21st, Robin Williams' date of birth, be recognized by the federal government as a national holiday (simply "Robin Williams Day," if a name is necessary. Or "Mrs. Doubtfire Day", if the administration would prefer). The intent would be to dedicate this day to the celebration of hope, laughter, and whimsy, and of the people who facilitate and give life to these ideals. The holiday's date and namesake would honor the late Robin Williams due to fact that despite fighting, and eventually being consumed by, his own demons his entire adult life, he dedicated his entire career to helping others fight theirs. What better name is there to invoke the laughter and tears that remind us all that we are all, at our core, very much the same.
