Make schools safer using updated security measures

All schools should have security measures in place that are equal to or surpass those of the state and government offices. Using the same technologies that protect our elected officials such as metal detectors, shatterproof or bullet resistant glass, magnetic releasing and locking doors, to protect our future should be of the utmost importance. Further measures such as using plain clothed officer or a marshal as used in airport security, so as not to alarm children to their presence, but to provide a level of defense. There should be intercom systems outside of the main doors of the schools with cameras so that no one can enter undetected. No one should be allowed to enter during the school day without first stating the reason for their visit.
