A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. That means there should never been any attempts to repeal this amendment. This amendment should be one of the unalienable rights to all citizens of age. A crazed man that wants to commit mass murder is not going to try to kill anyone in public if he knows he is in a room full of armed citizens, he is, however, going to start firing if he knows that firearms are banned and that he is the only one in the general area with a weapon. Also, there are millions of people who have jobs that will only be there as long as firearms are legal, if you ban firearms millions of more jobs will be lost and the economy will be worse.
