Self employed people, especially those working as freelancers at their computers at home pay the highest taxes in USA. They pay same federal tax rate but 2.5 bigger social sec. taxes: 13% rate vs 6% that all people pay. And from 2013 it may be 15%!!We need to support self employed businessmen to grow our economy and not make them suffer of the highest tax rates in USA. we need new jobs-here they are-in self employed field. Give them ability to deduct SE tax from federal tax, and not form gross income. However this will still have them pay one of highest rates in US. But at least something.
