Semi-automatic and self-loading weapons should be made illegal in The United States of America. We have the right to bear arms but not arms whose purpose is rapid destruction and loss of human life.
Semi-automatic and self-loading weapons operate as fast as the trigger is pulled and thus amplify destruction when placed in the wrong hands. By banning weapons that iterate rapidly, we will reduce loss of life within these tragedies. We cannot prevent tragedies from happening but we can remove the destructive potential by making these types weapons illegal.
