Make the Senate and Congress' salaries the federal minimum wage.

Created by A.C. on July 28, 2013

With the daily reality that tens of millions of Americans face with the challenges of working minimum wage jobs to try and make end meet the people legislating these wages and protecting these companies have six figure incomes and seven figure net worth figures.

With the minimum wage being so low that workers qualify for federal assistance in the form of welfare and food stamps the American taxpayer is subsidizing the bottom line of companies that do business elsewhere in the world while not paying their workers enough to survive.

In a world of record corporate profits there needs to be a cap on the wages of the legislative body. Setting salaries to the federal minimum wage will guarantee equality for all workers when those who make the laws have to live by them.
