When electing a senator to represent you, it is nice to know what votes they make in congress. However, I'd give up that privilege in order to cut down the influence of powerful lobbying groups- especially the evil NRA. If Senate votes were anonymous the NRA would no longer be able to blackmail vulnerable, cowardly Senators into casting votes that do not represent the voice of the American people.
