Our nations need young people more than ever to volunteer, help the elderly, and provide their skills. They cannot do so, if they are stuck in school. I propose that the last year of high school be optional. For those who are good enough to graduate, they might go a look for jobs, volunteering, or even an unpaid internship. Forcing them to stay in school, will only stifle their entrance into the real world.
