make September 11th a national day of mourning and to have it observed and recognized as a federal holiday.

Created by M.S. on March 21, 2013

61 countries lost citizens on 9-11. The United States lost nearly 3000 citizens, with the toll still rising due to exposure of dust and debris. Thousands of families are still mourning the loss of loved ones; Mothers and Fathers, Brothers and Sisters, Husbands, Wives, and Children. Yet, a federal holiday closing schools and giving federal employees the day off has still not been established. The victims of these attacks and the American people deserve better. We NEED a day off, so that future generations may not forget the tragedy of September 11th, 2001.
