This petition would hopefully ban the signing of pledges by members of congress to never raise taxes under any circumstance, or a pledge to any individual or organization promising anything for any unknown or future circumstance. Congress persons are elected by the citizens of the United States and should not be entering into private or special agreements with anyone or any organization. Members of congress are public servants so therefore should serve the public and not be obligated to carry out any pledge or promise that goes against the common good of those they represent.
