As a member of the newly "Tax-Paying" population of America, I naturally have a few concerns about the money i pay into government organizations such as Social Security.
For initial clarification, I am NOT petitioning to completely stop the funding of the Social Security program. This would devastate the American elderly currently living off of, and depending on this system.
What i am truly attempting to address, is the fear of the collapse of the Social Security system. We all desire to know that our money is safe. For the average "Tax-Paying" American, Social Security is one of the major deductions on our paychecks. If this system collapses, all of our money will be lost.
I am petitioning to make Social Security a directly funded system for those who wish to pay in.
