Sony Pictures is cancelling the release of 'The Interview' in any form due to the anonymous threat from the Sony Hackers. This includes theaters, DVD, and VOD. This is letting the terrorists win and is hindering our freedom of expression. This creates a bad precedent and even the President has vocalized his opinion. He has already said Americans should go to the movies and that authorities had no real credible threat to theaters. If it is not to be released in theaters, so be it. There have been plenty of successful straight to DVD movies. But, this creative expression should still be released to the people even if it is DVD, video on demand, or even across cable networks.
