Make speedy decision on Perm Applications (Labor Certifications)

Created by N.H. on January 29, 2012

Perm application (or Labor Certification) is the first step for getting Green Card.
Time taken by Department of Labor to review application is around 4 months.

If the application goes into audit state, it takes upto 1 year to get any update from the Department of Labor.

The situation is worst if the application is denied and employers opt for appealing the decision. It takes upto 4 years to get any update from the appeal board BALCA.
Department of Labor now denying the applications even for minute reasons, more non-immigrants need to wait for 4 years to get an update on the labor applications from BALCA.

I request the white house to improve the time required to process the application when the application is in audit or in appeal state, after all justice delayed is justice denied.
