My petition is to call for change within the family court process. I do not believe parents should have to fight for their right to have equal time with their child. This is the most NATURAL RIGHT of them all. I believe the standard should be shared parenting and if causes for concern exist, deviate from this standard. The current family court process is counterproductive, drawn out and causes more problems for families than it fixes. The drastic change in the economy has also made this outdated process difficult, even impossible to go through. We need change for families and to start holding BOTH parents responsible for the upbringing of the child THEY created.
