Make the state of Alaska an independent nation

Alaska was a Russian territory before The United States bought Alaska from Russia in 1867. It remained a U.S. territory until 1959 and was granted American statehood. Alaska is a large landmass and deserves to become it's own independent nation since Alaska has enough up here to survive on. Alaska is also not part of the American mainland so therefore shouldn't be a part of the American nation. Most Alaskans would support the idea of secession from the U.S. and would also relieve money spending from the American government.
