Whether or not you find the nickname 'Redskin' or the Cleveland Indians mascot offensive there are people who do. 'Redskin' was once an extremely derogatory term in this country as well as a threat and the cartoon expression of an American Indian used by Cleveland likens to a WWII Japanese or black face cartoon. I feel the Obama Administration should use its power at the bully pulpit to convince these organizations to correct their wrongs and begin a positive relationship with the Native American Nations in their area by choosing a positive mascot instead.
