Make a strong statement opposing Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) practiced in 31 countries in Mid-east and Africa.

Created by B.B. on November 19, 2013

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is practiced in over 31 countries and regimes, primarily in the Arabic Middle East and Africa.

FGM is an act where the clitoris of a young girl is cut and removed, often with her vagina sewn up, in ‘operations’ in the most unhygienic, horrific and humiliating displays of supposedly ‘religious’ ceremonies.

UNICEF reports that 27.2 million women in Egypt are victims of Female Genital Mutilation. Only Djibouti has a higher rate of FGM, with 93 percent of women and girls having their genitals mutilated and removed.

Imagine and act as if this horrible crime was committed on your own daughter, sister or mother, as a defenseless child of 5-9 years of age.

Please sign and protect the millions of poor unfortunate girls, accidentally born in these 31 countries.
