Republicans want tax cuts. This is a tax cut. Democrats want to help people out of poverty. The best way out of poverty is an education and one of the biggest obstacles to education is the cost of a college education. This will give relief to student and workers, not welfare moms and people who don't want to improve their lot in life. The loss of revenues will be more than made up for when more people are encouraged go to college because of this law.
