Student loan debt has surpassed credit card debt in this country. Congress has made it all but impossible to get relief in the bankruptcy courts from this debt. Private student loans have the same protections as federal student loans but don't have to offer the same repayment options as federal student loans. I am asking that all student loans become dis-chargeable in bankruptcy court.
