make Super Bowl Monday a national holiday.

Created by A.L. on February 08, 2016

The Super Bowl is an event and experience shared by millions across the country every year; it is the penultimate contest of a uniquely American past time celebrated by gathered families. The event is a showcase for the economy and culture of the U.S. Once a winner has emerged, the next day should be spent celebrating the successes of each team that played in the game; personal stories of hardship and adversity overcome by players and fans; charitable work contributions of the NFL, its teams, and players; the economic benefits brought on by the NFL and the Super Bowl; and the uniqueness of football as an American institution that has played an important role in the civil rights movement for Native Americans and other minority groups in history.
