make support for families a priority. How is it possible to explain that it is not even listed as one of the issues?

The President does not have families listed as an issue on his web site.

I believe that it is self evident that this should be a priority for our country.

Here in Irvine we have a crime rate ten times lower than in
Los Angeles, and a high school drop out rate of four percent.

Maybe the President could begin with :
(1) Listing families as a priority
(2) Making a speech on that subject to the nation
that is Focused on the Family.
