What I want the administration to do is to make sure all television networks to broadcast all their widescreen content through ALL SD-television owners, including me.
I remember the time when FOX actually started letterboxing their primetime TV shows to SD-television almost 2 years ago. As I tune in to the network to watch an all new Animation Domination lineup on 2/12, I realized what they're doing like they did 2.5 years ago or more. They were, in fact, panscanning their widescreen content back to 4:3 right now!
I realized that pan-scanning loses all the good pixels on each side. Plus, our family doesn't have enough $ to upgrade to HD. If this gets signed, please make sure all networks remove panscanning rules. Letterboxing is better for everyone & saves money at the same time.
